Landline Phone Service in Eastern Hanover and Henrico Counties, Va., Is Returning to Normal as Verizon Crews Continue to Repair Faulty Network EquipmentNews Release

RICHMOND, Va. – Verizon customers in the eastern part of Hanover and Henrico counties are steadily getting their landline phone service restored as company technicians continue working round-the-clock to make repairs to faulty network equipment.
The damaged equipment in Verizon’s Sandston central office caused customers in the area to have trouble completing and receiving landline calls. As reported earlier, the issue is not affecting wireless calling, High Speed Internet (DSL) service, FiOS Internet, FiOS TV or FiOS Digital Voice customers. In addition, 911 service overall is not affected.
The Sandston central office serves approximately 5,500 customer lines. It has not yet been determined when service will be fully restored for impacted customers.
