ARLINGTON, Va. - Early voting in the 2008 presidential election is setting records and as the countdown to Election Day continues, Verizon's FiOS1 local TV channel is offering viewers a place to get informed, get caught up, and get their facts straight before they cast their votes.
Through Nov. 4, FiOS1 will air rebroadcasts of the three presidential debates and the vice-presidential debate, as well as key speeches from the Democratic and Republican conventions. In addition, FiOS1 is offering video segments from FactCheck.org, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that monitors and researches the factual accuracy of statements made in political TV advertisements, as well as comments made during the debates and speeches, interviews and more.
FiOS1, Verizon's first local TV channel in the United States, offers a one-stop shop for local weather, traffic, news, sports and community features. FiOS1 is available on Channel 1 in the Verizon FiOS TV channel lineup in Northern Virginia and parts of Maryland, and is available at no extra cost to Verizon FiOS TV subscribers.
